NOTE ABOUT SSD DRIVES - 03-30-2011
If you use an SSD as your System drive you need to ensure that you backup your Act database before reflashing
the firmware on the SSD because after a firmware update the Act Database will not open as it will detect the PC's ID
as having changed and have to be "Restored As" from a backup.
Typically most SSD's will receive monthly firmware updates to fix bugs and improve performance until they have been in production for a year or so. You do not need to install them all but last month's update for the OCZ Vertex 2 claimed a 5% performance increase for some operations.
You may also want to have a second physical hard drive (this could be an external drive) containing a backup bootable system partition as sometimes you can not reflash an SSD when it is the active system drive so you need to boot from the second drive before you can update the SSD's firmware.
